Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren, and Washington Counties (HFH-NSWWC) is excited to announce our decision to rebuild and expand the Southern Adirondack ReStore at its current location. After careful consideration and a thorough search of multiple properties in the area, we’ve chosen to remain at the site that has become a cornerstone of our mission. This decision is a direct result of our commitment to the community that has made the Southern Adirondack ReStore such a successful venture.
A Place Built by the Community, for the Community
Since its opening, the Southern Adirondack ReStore has played a vital role in supporting HFH-NSWWC’s mission to create affordable housing opportunities. Customers ‘purchase with a purpose’ through the sale of new and gently used home improvement items and furnishings, generating critical revenue that directly funds our efforts to build homes for families working toward homeownership. The decision to expand and rebuild at this location allows us to honor the relationships we’ve built over the years with our donors, volunteers, shoppers, and the surrounding businesses, all of whom have helped make this success possible.
We are deeply grateful to the entire community for your support of the ReStore. From the local businesses and municipalities that have partnered with us, to the shoppers and donors who have contributed, and our team of loyal volunteers, your involvement is what has allowed us to grow and expand our impact. It is because of you that we can continue to support our work in building affordable housing and increasing the housing inventory in our region.
Why Stay?
While we explored other properties in the area, we determined that our current site offers the best opportunity for continued growth. The strong community ties, accessibility, and the support of loyal donors, volunteers and shoppers make it the ideal location for us to expand our ReStore and our mission.
Our expanded ReStore will not only offer more space for shopping, donating, and volunteering, but it will also create new opportunities to support our homeownership programs and increase our affordable housing inventory. By staying at this location, we can continue to build on the strong foundation we’ve established, while working to address the ongoing need for affordable housing in our communities.
How You Can Help
To support this important expansion, we are launching a $1 million project for the rebuilding and expanding of the Southern Adirondack ReStore. We invite you to be a part of this transformative effort. Every donation—whether large or small—will help us build a larger, more accessible ReStore that will generate even more revenue for affordable housing projects and further our efforts to support families working toward homeownership.
Here’s how you can get involved:
Donate: Your contribution will help us reach our $1 million goal and build a larger ReStore that supports our mission of affordable housing.
Volunteer: Offer your time and talents to assist with the ReStore’s growth or help out at the ReStore itself to enhance the customer experience.
Spread the Word: Share our campaign with friends, family, and colleagues. Help us raise awareness about our work and expand our reach.
We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of the Southern Adirondack ReStore. Your donations, time, and patronage help us increase the inventory of affordable housing and provide more opportunities for families working toward homeownership. As we expand our efforts, we look forward to welcoming even more shoppers, donors, and volunteers to help us achieve our goals.
Together, we can continue to make a lasting impact on affordable housing in our community.

Hudson Falls, NY – 12SEP2024
Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren, and Washington Counties (HFH-NSWWC) is excited to announce the launch of a $75,000 fundraising campaign to support an ambitious new project in Hudson Falls. The project involves the construction of a 3-bedroom, 1245 sq. ft. modular home on a lot HFH-NSWWC currently owns, marking the beginning of a neighborhood revitalization effort. The funds raised will also help secure an adjacent lot allowing us to build two homes concurrently, further expanding affordable housing opportunities in the community.
This volunteer-driven, donation-dependent project highlights the organization’s commitment to creating long- term, sustainable impact. Modular home construction will allow HFH-NSWWC to efficiently provide high-quality, affordable housing for two local families, setting the foundation for a revitalized neighborhood.
“As a nonprofit organization that receives no government operational funding, we rely entirely on the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and community partners,” said George Earle, Executive Director of HFH-NSWWC. “This $75,000 campaign will bring us closer to realizing our vision of affordable housing and community growth in Hudson Falls. Together, we can create homes, hope, and a brighter future for the families we serve.”
In addition to the current project outlined above, another lot just up the block is also available for purchase, presenting an exciting opportunity to expand the revitalization effort to a third home if we reach our goal!
HFH- NSWWC is calling on businesses, community members, and supporters to help meet the $75,000 goal through donations, volunteering, and creative fundraising initiatives.
