Habitat for Humanity is a global housing organization that works in more than 70 countries and nearly 1,400 communities throughout the United States. Families and individuals partner with us to help build a place they can call home. Habitat builds new homes for first-time homebuyers. Our professional construction staff manages our build sites and oversees our paid subcontractors and volunteers. We balance the use of professional and volunteer labor to achieve our goal of serving as many families and individuals as we can, as efficiently as we can.
Qualified homebuyers have the opportunity to purchase a home that is appropriate for the size and composition of your household based on our current projects. Habitat does not build custom homes. To keep the homes affordable, Habitat cannot accept custom design requests, but homebuyers often have the opportunity to select home finishings such as flooring and cabinets.
At Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren, and Washington Counties, we build in partnership with families working toward homeownership, focusing our efforts in neighborhoods where affordable housing can foster vibrant, resilient communities. We are a donor and volunteer-driven organization, committed to building a future where families can access quality, affordable homes within our service area.
Our primary efforts are dedicated to areas where the impact of homeownership can help stabilize and uplift communities. We are dedicated to inclusive community development that protects families from displacement and allows them a meaningful stake in their neighborhoods. By strengthening pathways to affordable homeownership, we aim to encourage sustainable growth and preserve the character of these neighborhoods.
Our organization serves Warren, Washington, and Northern Saratoga Counties, and our current initiatives reflect our commitment to working with local partners, volunteers, and donors who share our vision for a future where everyone has a decent place to live.
No matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve a decent place to live.
