Embracing Possibilities

2025 Planned Projects

Utilizing property we already own, we are constructing two modular homes as part of a neighborhood revitalization initiative. With successful fundraising, we aim to expand to four homes by purchasing a nearby lot.

These homes will provide hardworking families the opportunity to achieve homeownership, creating lasting stability and revitalizing the surrounding neighborhood. This project represents hope and progress for both the families we serve and the broader community.

We are actively seeking $75,000 to offset the cost of the first two lots which will result in a lower selling price to our homeowners. Additional funds will enable us to purchase a nearby lot for two additional homes, expanding our impact and providing opportunities for future families to achieve homeownership.

Plans are underway to build multiple condominium homes on property we own in Glens Falls, creating new pathways to affordable homeownership in a growing community.

Discussions with local stakeholders have begun, and as plans progress, construction timelines will be announced. This initiative will do more than add homes—it will transform the neighborhood, strengthen the local housing inventory, and provide families with the opportunity to build stability and a future through homeownership. A thriving community begins with access to safe, affordable housing, and this project is a crucial step toward that vision.

The initial $30,000 investment will fund site design, planning board review, and the necessary engineering to secure zoning variances, site plan approval, and building permits.

With community support, we are not just building homes—we are building strength, stability, and a lasting impact for generations to come.

We are exploring a transformative housing development on a site in Warrensburg to address pressing workforce housing needs in collaboration with local municipal committees.

This multi-unit project would serve multiple families, offering close proximity to key social and economic resources, including I-87 for direct access between Lake Placid and Albany. It’s a solution aligned with regional efforts to address the housing crisis and foster community resilience.

We are in active discussions with local stakeholders who view this corridor as critical to solving housing challenges. Feasibility studies are underway, with plans to bring this vision to life.

A bold initiative is underway to expand and enhance our Habitat for Humanity main office and Southern Adirondack ReStore, strengthening the foundation of our work and deepening our impact in the community.

This transformation is more than a renovation—it’s an investment in the families we serve, the volunteers who power our mission, and the community partnerships that make it all possible. By rebuilding our ReStore, we will create a more efficient, welcoming, and accessible space—expanding our showroom, streamlining operations with on-site storage, and increasing revenue to support affordable homeownership opportunities.

At the heart of this project is the creation of dedicated space for education and community engagement. Our expanded offices will house financial literacy programs, homeownership education, and volunteer coordination, ensuring families have the resources and support they need to build stable, successful futures. A new community room will serve as a shared space for local nonprofits, fostering collaboration and collective service.

The ReStore is more than a store—it’s a mission in action, turning donated goods into funding for decent, affordable homes. With this expansion, we are not just improving a building; we are strengthening our ability to build homes, empower families, and create lasting change.
