Build #30 – Granville
It is September here in Granville and things are really coming together for the James family and their new home! Fueled by frequent visits from Matt, Amber and Tucker James, volunteers are wrapping up the finishing touches on one of our most exciting builds to date.
We would first like to welcome Kassidy Hitt to the team, as our new Construction Site Supervisor. Although she is relatively new to the ground-up, residential construction space, she has experience working closely with volunteers and the community, is handy in the trades, and is eager to learn! It is great that she is coming to us right at the end of the Potter Ave build, so she can see the true impact it has on the James family.
The James family is a perfect example of a deserving Habitat partner. Despite the difficult times they have been through, they are incredibly sweet, humble and positive. Thy are highly involved throughout the Granville community, which is likely why the ENTIRE town showed up for them at the Blitz! Granville has been such a welcoming and inclusive community to work in, and we are truly blessed to have made so many new friends here. Don’t worry, Washington County… WE’LL BE BACK!
